U18 v Howard of Effingham
Team: Emily S (capt), Eve G, Yasmin C, Ellie D, Holly, Ciara S, Lexi W
An U18 team with a blend of players from our seniors and U16 years played a very competitive Howard U18 at Notre Dame on 7 February. Our team had never played competitively together in this combination and despite this fact, played extremely well all match against a very well-drilled Howard lineup.
All 7 players worked really hard throughout the match, turning over ball and working to get our shooters in good positions. It was a very very close match but Notre Dame took the win with a 16 – 14 result! This was an incredibly good result for these 7 players who absolutely deserved to win.
Player of the Match as voted by the opposition was Ciara S.
U16 A and B

U14 A and B v SWP
On Wednesday the U14 A + B netball teams had away matches against Sir William Perkin’s. SWPS had two very strong teams and won both games but ND played well and stayed positive throughout which was really pleasing to see and were patient in their build up play. Congratulations to both teams for their resilience and perseverance.

U15 v Manor House
The U15’s had a great football match on Tuesday evening! Fantastic football played and a 3-1 win!
Hockey
U12A v Tormead
On Thursday 8th February, the U12 A team girls played Tormead U13 B team. The girls fought hard in the wind and rain at Surrey Sports Park and played some very impressive Hockey. Cece M, our captain, showed grit and determination in the midfield of the pitch linking up very well with Poppy in Centre Midfield and Emma F in Left Midfield. Florrie S was able to creep higher up the pitch and take an early shot at the top of the D to put Notre Dame on the scoresheet. A few crucial saves from Poppy in goal allowed a very impressive performance from the girls to finish 1-1 against a very strong U13 Tormead side. Very well done to all the girls who played and battled through the gruelling conditions!
U13 A and B v Prior’s Field
U13 A Team
The A team started the game really strongly with some excellent attacks with some fantastic first time shots that we had been working on, but unfortunately these were either just wide or too direct making the saves for the goal keeper relatively easy. Eventually we managed to break the deadlock with a goal from Bailey. Notre Dame remained fairly dominant in stats with a few break aways from Prior’s Field for which they manage to convert leaving half time at one a piece. The second half started and Prior’s Field were a lot more organised in their press making it much harder for the NDs girls to outlet from a hit out and the game became a much closer fought game. Plenty of good leading that was worked on the night before, meant that we managed to break through with some lovely connection play and rewarded with several short corners. The high pressure from the ND girls continued with some excellent goal keeping from Prior’s Field but eventually, riding a few stick tackles Charlotte managed to score the winning goal.
Final score Notre Dame A 2 – Prior’s Field A 1.
U13 B Team
In the B team fixture the girls played some fantastic hockey, linking up nicely and creating plenty of chances in front of goal but struggled to convert. The girls were excellent in moving off the ball to open up passing channels to exploit the space in behind and eventually the reward of not on corners but a goal from Hettie meant the girls went into the break 1-0 up. The second half was more eventful with plenty of action in both circles and both teams getting lots of opportunities to work on their penalty corners, although neither could score. Late on in the second half the continued hard work and pressure meant that Bea scored a second goal that secured the win.
Final score Notre Dame B 2 – Prior’s Field B 0.

Surrey County Championships
Super fly swims from Martha T (Yr 8) and Alex B (Yr8). Both Martha and Alex, competed in the Surrey County championships this weekend. One of their races was the 200 fly at which they both did brilliantly. Alex was competing for the under 14 category and Martha for the under 13 category. They both got phenomenal times. Super well done girls.
