U14 Tournament at St Teresa’s
A Team Report
Team U14A: Michelle E (Vice captain), Ester J, Izzy C, Lucy F, Luella W, Julia (Captain) , Zarina K, Emelie G
It was a tough day for our U14A team where despite some very good performances, overall the match results was won 1, lost 4. The matches were the first return to competitive netball since last season for many of the players but they settled quickly into a positive rhythm. Defensively the team played well overall with many interceptions and turnovers but couldn’t always convert to goal. When our shooters got ball in the goal circle conversion was good.

The girls had a tough start to the tournament playing 4 games back to back with very little time to move from inside to outside courts, so very rushed which reflected in their play. However they settled down in the 3rd game and came away with a win with good court play and feed into the shooting area.
By the 4th game they were feeling the pressure of back to back games but still played with conviction. The team came out for the 5th game with a positive attitude and held it together to come away with a win in their last Match
U12 A & B Netball v Manor House
U12A
Emma F (captain), Lexie H, Alice C, Bella K, Bella M, Lottie W, Isabella H, Harriet F
A really strong team performance in what was only the A team’s second match this season. All players performed to a high standard and created space on the court whilst demonstrating really effective defence all the way down the court. Particularly noticeable was the support for each other both on and off the court. Final score – ND 13- MHS 6
U12B
Allegra B (captain), Penny M, Alice D, Poppy H, Samantha F, Lily O
Showing great squad support, the U12 A’s shared two of their team players to make up their 7th player for the B’s match, a demonstration of the values of Notre Dame. This was a polished, effective team performance coming away with a significant win 24-1 with every player making a huge contribution to the final result.
Special mention of both Lexie H and Isabella H who were named most valuable players by the opposition.
