Swimming

Sophie K attended the ISF International Schools Games in Normandy from 14^th-22^nd May, representing England in the swimming competition in Caen. 64 countries and over 3500 students aged 15-18 years attended the Games in total, and 25 countries entered teams in the swimming. Sophie reached the A final (top 8 swimmers) in both 50 and 100 breaststroke events, finishing 6^th and 4^th respectively, and also helped the England Girls’ 4x100m medley relay team to a 4^th place. It was a great experience, with the swimming and athletics competitors from all different countries on the same accommodation site, so Sophie got to meet fellow students from all over the world. Many thanks to the English Schools’ Swimming Association for organising the trip, and to the coaches who attended.
