National Schools Biathlon Championship
The girls achieved fantastic results, earning medals but also achieving personal best times in swimming and running, improving on their times they did to qualify for the event back in June. They gave it their all and all enjoyed the experience of attending a National event as well as meeting team GB Pentathlon athletes.
This is event is well attended by schools all over the country, therefore the girls worked hard to qualify but then go on to achieve the results below is a huge achievement.
The U9 girls has great success with Holly placing 1st out of the 87- U9 girls; Bella, Ola and Holly points took them to the 1st placed team.
Their individual placing were; Bella- 9th, Harriet-12th and Ola-7th.
The U10 girls placing were, Tilly R- 43, Siena -96, Bella-92, Poppy T -78 and Evelyn F-86 out of 111 who qualified for the national event.
The U11 girls placing were- Campbell -47, Alex- 49, Poppy S- 99, Charis- 62 out of the 107 who qualified for the national event.
Charis, Alex and Campbell finished 14th as a team out of the 22 U11 teams.
It was a pleasure to spend my Saturday with our wonderful, well behaved, kind and supportive girls. They clapped and cheered everyone girl (from all schools) across the finish line and were so pleased with everyone’s individual results, it was wonderful to witness such fantastic sportsmanship at a young age, which is a credit it our wonderful school ethos.
