Year 2 Mad Hatters!

Year 2 have turned into Mad Hatters this week!

Their science project was to create a hat out of materials that would be; waterproof, sturdy and soft to wear. They put their learning of materials to the test and soon . . . production began! The girls had to use a variety of paper, cardboard, foil, clingfilm, fake fur, felt and more to create the fashion masterpiece.

Mrs Botham and Mrs Petzer were satisfied that the girls had produced sturdy yet soft to wear hats, however, were they waterproof? The only way to test was to pour water over the hats to find out.

I am pleased to say that they were, and the girls came away (almost) dry!
