Year 3 Rock Cycle Exploration
The Year 3 girls have been learning about the fascinating processes of the rock cycle in a hands-on and engaging way—using Starburst sweets! The girls transformed their “rocks” through each stage of the cycle, including weathering, erosion, compaction, heating, and cooling.
By squashing, stretching, and melting the Starburst, the girls explored how sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rocks are formed. This interactive activity allowed them to understand complex geological processes in a fun, memorable, and delicious way.
