Just eighteen months after joining international branding agency JDO Global, alumna Claudia Pattison is spearheading design projects for some of the world’s biggest brands…
As a Client Manager, Claudia, 25, is making full use of her BA in Visual Communication to drive special ‘Limited Edition’ packaging projects for Dove, the global personal care brand owned by Unilever. Her focus is the North American market, where Dove aims to broaden its appeal to younger consumers with new scents and imaginative brand collaborations.
Claudia is the daily point of contact between the agency and the client, and co-ordinates the activities of everyone involved in the design and production process until the finished product appears on the shelves of big supermarket chains like Walmart and Target.
Recent examples include a ‘Holiday Treats’ skincare range last December, featuring festive scents, and a tie-up with tennis superstar Venus Williams aimed at promoting girls’ participation in sport. Explained Claudia: “We designed packaging modelled after a tennis ball cannister housing three beauty bars all stamped with ‘confident’. embodying the spirit of the campaign.”
Perhaps the most unusual tie-up to date is the collaboration with US-wide cookie company Crumbl, which has seen Claudia and her team bring a bold new twist to Dove’s branding for a bodycare range inspired by Crumbl’s most popular cookies!
Claudia loves the pace and creativity of her role and gets a real buzz out of knowing that products she’s guided through the design process are going viral on TikTok or selling in their thousands at supermarkets. “That ‘full circle’ moment really reinforces my passion for this business and I’m looking forward to building my career further at JDO Global,” she enthused.
