Year 9 Dragon’s Den Final took place in the Innovation Space this week.

Year 9 were given the opportunity to test their creative and entrepreneurial skills in a Dragon’s Den challenge. Girls were tasked with coming up with an exciting business idea, justify why their product would succeed and create a range of marketing materials and merchandise that would complement their product.

Last week all the girls were able to pitch their ideas to two Dragons, ND6 Head Mrs Marker, and Bursar, Mrs Jackson, and then field a range of hard-hitting questions. The judges were wowed with a range of creative and innovative ideas which all showed the latent potential that Notre Dame enjoys.

Rachel was one was one of the winners with “Catch em Nails” a café and nail clinic for cats and their owners.

“Dragons Den was a really great experience. We learnt how to launch a product, how to grab people’s attention and how to plug a gap in the market. I think the club was a great idea and great fun. I hope to do something similar in the future.”
