Wise Owls
Session 1: Wise Owls watched & listened carefully to see how we use Loppers safely to cut branches into small chunks that we can use for the campfire. They enjoyed climbing and looking through the books and especially enjoyed identifying the sounds of birds in the Forest. #intothewildwoods
Session 2: Wise Owls spotting flora and fauna, making a rope swing and having fun with the tarpaulin. #ropeskills #wildlife #teamwork #resilience #happydays
Reception
Reception girls made their very own paint brushes using woodland materials, developing knot skills. They then used their brushes to create wonderful art with paint. #woodlandskills #paintaway #teamwork #greatoutdoors #fsa
Year 2
Year 2 practicing dry distillation, making charcoal over the campfire with sticks enclosed in a tin with a hole drilled with a palm drill. They also practiced whittling sticks to hold marshmallows over the fire. Ancient Australian symbols were drawn with the charcoal.
Well done team! #enjoying #theoutdoors #keepingactive #breathingspace #OurGreatOutdoors
