This week’s assembly was all about Mothering Sunday
Mrs Hunt explained that Mother’s day is a time when children and adults show their mums (or grandmothers, aunties or other women who care for them) how much they love them.
It is also a time to say thank you for everything they do for them. She talked about the history of this special day and how it is celebrated in Britain on the fourth Sunday of Lent.
She asked the girls to think about their mum or the special women in their life. Think about how you can show them how much you love them and how thankful you are for them.
