Inter House XC events this week

Well done to all girls who took part in the Inter-House Cross Country races over the past week. We saw some fantastic running in every year group.

Year 5 ran their race last week and the photos were posted in last week’s FM!

The top 3 finishers were

Hockey

IAPS Hockey Tournament at Wellington College

U11 IAPS Hockey Team 2024

On Friday 11th October the U11 girls took part in their IAPS Hockey Tournament. They had a great day of hockey, showing great progress, particularly with their defending skills. The team qualified for the plate competition.

U10 Hockey v St Teresa’s and Halstead St Andrews

U10 Hockey Team Tournament St T and Halstead St Andrews

On Tuesday all of year 5 took part in hockey matches against St Teresa’s and Halstead St Andrews. It was a wonderful afternoon of hockey with over 85 girls taking part. The Notre Dame teams had some very close games. Well done to the B team who won 1 and lost 1. The C team lost both, but the second one narrowly in the final minutes of the match. The A team lost both of their games but showed great development.

Biathlon Qualifier Results

The Biathlon Qualifier results were published this week. This is the event the girls took part in on Sunday 6th October.

Special mentions to:

Freya C- finishing 2nd in the Year 3 Girls category

Theia R- winning Year 4 Girls category

Isla C- finishing 12th in Year 5 category and our highest finisher in Year 5

Lydia M- Winning Year 5 Girls category

Team Results

Year 3 – 1st overall team made up of Sophie, Freya and Bella

Year 4- 1st over all team made up of Theia, Andie-Ray and Erika

Year 5- 4th over all team made up of Isla, Grace and Reeya

Year 6- 3rd over all team made up of Lydia, Ana and Scarlett

A huge well done to all the girls that took part, fingers crossed we can get as many of you as possible to the National event in March.

Swimming

Lydia M - Club Champ

Congratulations to Lydia M who competed in the Elmbridge Phoenix Club Champs on Sunday evening in 5 disciplines (50 meters for all 4 strokes + 200m IM)!  She came top for her age group in the club in all of them, getting 5 golds.
She is very pleased as are we!

Calling Future Lionesses 2024

Ultimate Coaching host Saturday morning girls fun football sessions for ages 6-11, at our very own Notre Dame facilities.

By really building on the momentum we are seeing in Women’s football, our aim is to encourage participation in and passion for girls’ team sport, offering strong extracurricular opportunities and pathways for as many girls as possible.
