Cross Country

U11A and U9A vs Guildford High School

On Monday 30 September our Year 4 and Year 6 cross country teams took part in the annual GHS cross country event. Despite the soggy conditions the girls put in a great performance. A special well done to Theia R who finished 2nd and Lydia M who finished 7th over-all. All the girls ran a great race in challenging conditions.

U11 Swimming Gala at GHS

Well done to all the girls who took part in our first Gala against GHS on Tuesday.

The girls swam really well and our new Captains Lydia and Ana did a great job getting the girls organised.
Congratulation to GHS who won the Gala although lots of the races were so close.
I’m excited about the year ahead.

Hockey

U10A-C vs City of London Freemen’s

U10A-C vs City of London Freemen's

On Tuesday the U10 girls played their first matches against City of London Freemens in challenging conditions. The rain certainly didn’t stop the girls from playing good hockey. They have shown great progression in their skills. Well played to all the girls who represented the school.

U9A&B vs Milbourne Lodge School

U9 Hockey v Milbourne Lodge

On Thursday Milbourne lodge brought 3 teams to play hockey at Notre Dame. This was the first match of the season for those Year 4 girls who played. They showed a high level of skill and enjoyed scoring goals too. The girls put into practise the skills we have been focusing on in lessons. It was a great start to their season.

Kit

Another reminder that the girls need to have their left handed hockey glove, shin pads and mouthguard at all PE/ Games lessons.
As the fixtures start, they will not be able to play without these items.
All girls need to bring their waterproof jacket to lessons, as the weather is now very changeable.

Events this weekend

Good luck to the girls representing the school at the U10 Rowan Hockey Tournament on Saturday and to those taking part in the National Schools Biathlon Qualifier on Sunday.
