Surrey Schools Athletics Championships
Congratulations to Olivia B (Year 8), Ciara S (Year 9) and Juliette F (Year 11) who were selected to represent North East Surrey at the Surrey Schools’ Athletics Championships last Saturday in Kingston.
Olivia was placed 6th in her Junior Girls 1500m heat, Juliette ran well in her Inter Girls 200m heat and Ciara came an excellent 6th in the Junior Girls High Jump with a clearance of 1.40m. It was great experience for the girls to be competing amongst the best in Surrey.
ND Athletics Event
On Monday six girls from Year 9 – Steph W, Ciara S, Olivia O, Emma M, Alexia W + Charlotte M competed in an athletics fixture hosted by ND against Manor House, St Teresa’s and Howard of Effingham. The girls all had to compete in 4 events – 60m sprint, long jump, shot putt + 800m – and they all did very well and enjoyed the experience of competing in a mini heptathlon type event.
Tennis
On Tuesday 6 pairs of Year 9 tennis players played in a match against St Teresa’s School; all the girls played very well and won the fixture by 13 matches to 5, congratulations to everyone who played: Olivia O, Alexia W, Steph W, Hanna A-D, Katie B, Ruby E, Charlotte M, Paloma D, Sienna R, Caitlin M, Rebecca P.

Jemima J and Izabel W (Year 11) celebrated alongside their Oxshott Royals teammates winning the plate at the Goldsworth Park U16 6-a-side tournament last Saturday Evening in a tense penalty shootout!
