This week’s assembly was all about Staying Safe Online.
Tuesday was Safer internet Day and this year’s theme is ‘Too good to be true?’
We go online for lots of reasons; playing games, watching videos, talking to friends and finding out information. This can be loads of fun but we need to know how to keep ourselves safe when online. We can’t always trust what we see on it but there are some clues that can help us to spot online scams.
We need to follow some sensible rules:
- Never share personal information with people you don’t know.
- Use child safe websites.
- Think carefully before clicking on links, pop-ups or messages.
- Never share your login details with other people online.
- Check with a trusted adult before sharing or trading your online belongings.
Next half term Mrs Plummer will be focusing on this topic with the Infants and in the summer term she has organised a special e-safety workshop.
