Infant Good Work Assembly February 3rd

Infant Good Work Assembly

This week’s assembly was all about Children’s Mental Health Week

Childrens Mental Health Week 2025

Miss Harris introduced the girls to this year’s theme – ‘Know Yourself, Grow Yourself’. She explained that getting to know your feelings is a wonderful way to grow and help yourself.
This week, we will be thinking a little more about our feelings and what we can do to help ourselves. We have series of activities planned:

  • Classroom activities to help us think more about ourselves, our feelings, our likes, our dislikes and what makes us feel good.
  • Feelings check-ins around the Prep School to help us reflect on how we are feeling and how to help ourselves.
  • A weekly schedule of playground activities, to help us feel regulated, relaxed and calm.
  • A selection of books in the library and in the corridor selected by Mrs Kewley, specifically to help with regulating our feelings.
  • Your very own classroom feelings check in station, to help you think about how you are feeling, and how you can help yourself.
  • Activity Break (Monday – Wednesday) viewing of the film Inside Out, in Mrs Tait’s classroom.
