World Record-breaking attempt for the largest poetry lesson this National Poetry Day
Years 4, 5, and 6 took part in a Guinness World Record attempt!
In a rare opportunity, we joined published poet Laura Mucha and thousands of other students across the country to attempt to break the record for ‘Largest Poetry Lesson taught across multiple venues.’
At 10am, we joined a live video stream. Through the power of online voting, we wrote a collaborative poem based on this year’s theme ‘counting.’
It was all very exciting! We were particularly impressed with the girls’ enthusiasm and contributions to the poem.
In order to comply with the strict Guinness World Records criteria, the Maths Ambassadors had the responsibility of counting the girls as they entered the Chapel. Mrs Plummer took both the photographic and video evidence required and Mrs Barber was our official school witness of the event.
Well done Notre Dame Prep!
