This week girls from Reception to Year 6 attended a series of drama based Internet Safety Workshops run by OpenView Education.
Our facilitator Grace took Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 on an e-safety journey through ‘Internetland’ with her puppet Millie. At the end of the journey, all of them had become Internet Safety Wizards having learnt some very important rules –
Speak up, Stay Safe, Keep it Safe and Always Be Kind
Years 3-5 attended a ‘One Good Choice’ assembly in the Montaigne Theatre. The girls were encouraged to take control of their online activity by making good choices.
Never engage with strangers online.
You have the choice to Block, Report, Screenshot and become digitally resilient online citizens.
Year 6 focused on more detail in their bespoke workshop. They discussed a variety of topics and used role-play to try to understand the impact some online activity can have on their wellbeing. They have the ‘Power to Choose’ how they interact online and, again were advised to adhere to the following points:
Keep your Personal Information Safe, Screenshot, Block, Report, Choose Appropriate Age Rating Apps and Games and Always be Kind Online.
