Year 5 and 6 had an unforgettable visit from Exotic Explorers, bringing their upcoming topic on the Classification of Animals to life! The students had the incredible opportunity to learn about a wide range of fascinating creatures, exploring their unique features and classifications. From handling gigantic snails and tarantulas to encountering skunks and hawks up close, the session was both educational and thrilling, sparking curiosity and excitement for the wonders of the animal kingdom.

STEM in Year 6 Math

Year 6 mathematicians put their skills to the test in the Prep Science Lab, exploring various methods of converting measurement units. Using different scales and containers, they conducted hands-on experiments to accurately determine mass and capacity. This engaging session combined practical learning with mathematical reasoning, deepening their understanding of measurement in a fun and interactive way!

Year 6 STEM Club

Year 6 STEM Club showcased their engineering talents by constructing a geodesic dome! Through teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving, they explored the strength and stability of this unique structure. This hands-on activity not only highlighted the principles of geometry and engineering but also inspired curiosity and innovation in a fun, collaborative environment.
