Prep GK Training with Jess Buchanan

Hockey

Jess Buchanan GK Skills Workshops

The girls in the Prep school had a great month of hockey goal keeping with Jess Buchanan. Jess is currently the No. 1 goalkeeper for Wimbledon, No. 1 for Scotland, and a full-time member of the Great Britain team. She recently represented Great Britain at the Paris Olympics this summer. The girls in Year 3 and 4 enjoyed developing their basic goal keeping skills, doing many skills and games using their feet. Year 5 and 6 put on the kit and were able to really advance their skills.

It was such a great opportunity for the girls, who enjoyed every session. A huge thank-you to Mrs Jelley for organising this and thank-you to Jess for inspiring the next generation of hockey goal keepers.

Autumn Term Round Up

It has been a great Autumn term of fixtures for the prep school, with girls in Year 2,3,4, 5 and 6 representing their school across a variety of sporting activities and events.

60 hockey fixtures
2 Gymnastics Championships attended by the Year 4,5 and 6 teams.
4 Swimming Galas, including the annual splash and dash
2 cross country events
1 National Biathlon Qualifier
1 netball Fixture

A huge well done to all those girls who represented the school with Notre Dame spirit, thank-you for all your efforts.

I hope you have a restful Christmas, and we look forward to the netball term, with a great variety of sporting activities and events to look forward too.
