U15 A Team v Downsend

Netball

U15 A-B v Downsend U16 Teams

This was a good challenge for both of our teams.

A Team

Notre Dame’s U15 A team continue to have a very good season winning this game 32-20. Having gone behind in the first quarter, the team worked well on keeping possession and their superior fitness showed in the latter part of the match.  MVP’s were Michelle E and Julia M who also captains the A team.  Well done to all.

U15 B Team

Our U15 B team had a tough challenge against the older Downsend players but with a fantastic last quarter, which they won 5-1, ended up drawing the match 11-11, a well deserved outcome.  MVP’s were Emelia G and Niamh G.

U12 A-D v Claremont

U12 A – D teams were in action against Claremont on Tuesday after school. It was a great evening of competitive netball for all our teams with the results going Claremont’s way this time.

A Team

A tough match for the A Team with Claremont winning.

Our A team’s MVP was Emily L who demonstrated great fitness and flexibility in playing a number of different positions.

B Team

Our B’s achieved a very well deserved draw.  Whilst netball is always a team sport, our circle defence worked so hard to keep Claremont from scoring, particular mention to both Michelle O and Scarlett B.  Our MVP for the B’s was Erin S.

U13 A-D v Downsend

Our U13 A – D teams took on Downsend here at Notre Dame. We won 3 and lost 1 so another good netball team performance on behalf of school!

A Team

Our U13 A team secured a 16 – 11 win with Lexi H voted MVP. All players again took to the court and it was a great display of netball.

U13 D Netball Team MVPs

B Team

In the B match, our U13’s secured a win 10-6 with Lily O in particular having a great game.  MVP as voted by the opposition was Harriet F.

C Team

Against Downsend C’s our players were constantly putting pressure on the opposition and won many interceptions throughout the match with all players contributing well. The result did however go to Downsend 1 – 6 but the score definitely didn’t reflect the match! MVP was Ava T.

D Team

In our D team match it was wonderful for the girls to get the chance to play against Downsend who demonstrated that sport is for all with one of their players using a wheelchair. Our D team were quick to adapt their play to ensure the match was totally inclusive and they worked hard to secure a 4 – 4 draw. Our MVP’s were Sophia A and Amelia D.

U12 A and B v Manor House

U12 A

The team played with excellent focus and determination. They encouraged each other and worked well as a team. They used this opportunity to try a number of combinations of players, all of which worked positively. There was confident and fluid court play through the centre third which fed successfully into the height in the shooting circle, where players scored accurately. There was strong pressure in defense, with lots of tipped balls. A pleasing performance from everyone!

Final Score: ND 22- MHS 10

MVP – Amy C

U12 B

It was an impressive 15 -2 win against Manor House for the U12B netball team. The girls played consistently well across all four quarters. Amelia’s defence didn’t go unnoticed again by our opponents, securing another ‘Player of the match’ along with Frida, winning player of the match for her superb work on attack.

U15 A – C v SWPS

U15 A, B and C teams take on SWPS who are always highly competitive in netball and managed a clean sweep on this occasion in all 3 matches.

A Team

Notre Dame’s U15 A worked hard with only a straight 7 players to take the 2 and 3 quarters with SWPS winning the 1 and 4th, giving them the overall game. MVP’s were Julia M and Bella M.

B Team

Our U15 B team had a very tough match which didn’t go their way score wise but they were still competitive and worked hard throughout. MVP’s were Evelyn B and Khushi J.

C Team

Our C team really pushed SWPS hard but eventually lost out 12 – 18. MVP was Isla G who has played consistently well all season in every match.

Important Reminder:  please remember to check SOCS for player selection.  If you cannot play, please let the lead PE teacher know asap to ensure there is time for another student to be given that opportunity!
