Tennis
Last Friday tennis matches were played away against St Teresa’s School. All three age groups had good competitive matches with the U14 players, Emelie G and Michelle E, winning both their doubles match and their respective singles matches to record a 3-0 win; the U13 players, Erin B and Olivia W, and the U12 players, Beatrice B + Bella PM, all played well but it was St Teresa’s who won both age groups. Congratulations to all six players on some good tennis.
Cricket
U13 Cricket
The U13s finished off their season of cricket fixtures with a double header this week. Both the As and Bs played against St Teresa’s on Tuesday at home and then travelled to Manor house on Wednesday.
Tuesday was a really competitive game with all 4 teams battling away with plenty of great bowling proving hard to score against, but a few really good batswomen able to break this and find the boundary on several occasions. In the end the Bs won by 6 runs and the As lost by 23 runs. Some noticeable bowlers were Emma, Milly and Bailey, with our best batting pairs being Emma and Alex and Martha and Georgie.
Wednesday’s fixture again a really close game for the Bs winning by just 3 runs with player of the matches coming from Florence and Adesha. The As had a great day with the bat breaking the 100 runs barrier, some key performers for that target were Poppy and Annabelle hitting 9 boundaries between them. After setting an impressive target for Manor house to chase it was key we had some good overs from our bowlers and they delivered, best overs coming from Emma, Annabelle and Bailey again.
Overall an excellent end to their cricket season with 3 wins our of the 4 matches.
