U15 v Wellington College
The week started really well with our school’s first fixture against Wellington College for our U15s. As a new school, we tried to get our levels right and we were more dominant with a comfortable 10-0 win.
Surrey U11 Tournament
Tuesday was a great day as we hosted the Surrey U11 tournament whereby 13 schools came to Notre Dame School.
We had a great day with Role With It football coming along to see what other skills the girls had, Smoking Bean Coffee van was in full swing. The tournament ran really smoothly with some very competitive games. Both final and 3rd/4th playoff went down to a penalty stroke competition, where England & Great Britain Olympian Flora Peel was on hand to present the medals. She also stayed around to do a Q&A with our year 8s at the after school club.
U12 and U13 A – D v King Edwards
Wednesday saw our year 7&8 A-D teams face King Edward’s Witley, some great battles across all games with a full mixture of results. These matches also saw some of our girls getting their first ever game of hockey and having a great time!

Goal Keeping Workshops with TEAM GB Keeper Jess Buchanan
Wednesday evening saw Scotland and Great Britain Olympic Goal Keeper Jess Buchanan in for a second session with the goal keepers where the girls continued to work on their footwork and looked at how to use their leg guards and hands for lifted shots.
Thursday was a fixture free day for senior hockey but a great afternoon with Jess coming back in to work with our year 9, 10 and 11 goal keepers whereby we continued to work on their footwork but also how to dive and move on the ground.
U12 County Championships
Today was an early start for our year 7s over at St George’s College for their County Championships. We had a tough start against St Johns and St George’s but with just narrow losses weren’t too disheartened. The girls bounced back with a win against Prior’s Field and close game with Gordons, a win against SWPS and narrow loss to Tormead. Overall the girls finishing 5th and back to school in time for the Christmas Gift Fair.
