The Year 5s had a fun filled, jam packed, few days away in Bournemouth last week! I was extremely proud of them all and know that parents have enjoyed reading and hearing all about their adventures.
A bright and early start on Tuesday meant we arrived in Lulworth Cove, along the Jurassic Coast, in plenty of time to enjoy our packed lunch and have a play on the beach before spending a fantastic afternoon at Monkey World. The girls were very curious and interested in the different types of monkeys and the projects that have been set up to help protect these special animals.
“Did you know that monkeys use their tails to balance just like another leg!”
When we arrived at the hotel late afternoon the girls were SO excited to unpack before enjoying dinner. They all settled so well before bedtime, many enjoying the opportunity to chat, read or even play a game of monopoly together!
We spent Day 2 at Paultons Park where the girls loved all the thrills and spills aswell as some downtime in the beautiful gardens.
After a big breakfast on Day 3 we all walked down to Bournemouth sea front and split into three groups to enjoy the Oceanarium, Escape Rooms and sandcastle building. That night the girls enjoyed a fun quiz and a chance to spend a bit more time on their journals.
Friday we packed up and enjoyed some time in the New Forest before heading singing along to some great tunes on the coach!
A huge thank you to all the teaching team- Mrs Tait, Miss Walker, Mrs Hutton, Mrs Sloggett and Mrs Davies for their energy, enthusiasm and kindness throughout the trip, to Mrs Wright our trips co-ordinator and to all the girls for being an absolute joy to take away!
